Dr. Kenneth Hoang Bio
Dr. Kenneth Hoang was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and has pursued a comprehensive medical training pathway dedicated to cardiovascular care. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis.
Dr. Hoang completed his Internal Medicine residency at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He then remained at Houston to complete a General Cardiology Fellowship and Advanced Level III Echocardiography training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, and has additionally completed specialized onco-cardiology training at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
His clinical interests include cardiovascular disease prevention, coronary atherosclerosis, valvular heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmia, echocardiography, and heart failure management. Dr. Hoang is deeply committed to delivering patient-centered care grounded in empathy, believing that every patient’s story, goals, and circumstances deserve individualized attention and a personalized treatment approach rather than a one-size-fits-all model of medicine.
Dr. Hoang has a substantial background in clinical research and academic medicine, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and national poster and oral presentations focused on interventional cardiology, cardio-oncology, and advanced imaging. He also values medical education and mentorship, having served as a rapid-response simulation instructor and guiding trainees through complex cardiovascular scenarios and core clinical skills.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hoang enjoys exploring Houston’s diverse culinary scene, traveling, and spending quality time with family. A self-described foodie and home chef, he appreciates food as a way to connect with different cultures and traditions, often seeking out new cuisines and the stories behind them. Travel allows him to recharge, while time with family grounds him and reinforces the importance of balance, connection, and well-being—values that shape his compassionate approach to patient care.
